The USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map is your basic starting point for your landscape design choices. Nearby nurseries will likely have plenty of options that work in your zone, but it’s important when dreaming about the perfect landscape for your home that you keep your zone numbers in mind. Northwestern NJ is mostly zones 6a-6b. Northeast NJ is primarily zones 6b-7a.
